I am writing to send out information about Career Week, which is a series of
events during Week Four leading up to our Fall Career & Internship Fair on
October 5th. The attached handout lists all the events and short
descriptions. Please share these opportunities with your students and let me
know if you would like additional copies that I can bring you.

 

We have a lot of great events coming up. I'd like to point out the Mock
Interview Day and the StrengthsQuest Workshop events, in particular. 

The Mock Interview Day will be a great way to network and practice
interviewing with employers. We have several different organizations coming
in to do the MI's with students and they can sign up for times with these
employers on Bobcat CareerLink. Detailed instructions are on the handout.

 

Your very own Tommy Raimondi will be facilitating a StrengthsQuest Workshop
in relation to using your Top 5 Signature Strengths in your career
development and working in a team. The cost is $15 and covers the online
assessment and workshop. We will have an eMarket account linked from the
Career Services web site where students can register and receive their
access code for the online assessment. 

 

In addition, you all may be interested in attending the Financial Planning
session as it will be hosted by a Financial Advisor from the OU Credit Union
and have very useful information for everyone.
