*Job Description*: The incumbent in this position serves as the Assistant
Director for Employer Development within the Career Networks group of the UF
Career Resource Center. Serves as the primary career adviser for College of
Business Administration students. Develops and administers special
"outreach" programs to inform both students and faculty of the need for
career planning and career development. Plans and administers career
preparation workshops and seminars to guide students from searching for an
internship through the job-search or application process to graduate or
professional schools. Provides individual and group career advising on
networking, interviewing skills, job search strategies and resume
preparation. Conducts employer outreach for the purpose of promoting UF
students and generating additional internship and full-time opportunities.
Manages and expands current Employer Education Program.

Serves as the primary career advisor for students from the College of
Business Administration. Provides individual and group career advising on
networking, interviewing skills, job search strategies and resume
preparation. Plans and executes numerous campus-wide career development
seminars, workshops, and classroom sessions to educate students through the
career planning process; including, but not limited to preparing for career
fairs, conducting internship and job search, the internet job search and
other classroom presentations by faculty invitation.

Conducts site visits to employers to develop relations and participants for
workshops and presentations, promotes UF students and generates additional
internship and full-time opportunities. Participates in the planning,
execution of the Career Resource Center's employer development plan spanning
the entire country. Initiates, develops, and maintains professional
relationships with employers and develops opportunities for UF students.

Assesses individual career development needs, providing students the skills
necessary to understand the ramifications of their career decisions and
actions.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Assistant Director for
Employer Development to ensure the success of career services on behalf of
the university, its students, and alumni.

*Minimum Qualifications: *Master's degree in an appropriate area of
specialization; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of
specialization and two years of appropriate experience. Criminal Background
Check required.

*Preferred Qualifications:  *A minimum of two years of experience in the
field of career development, career counseling, or human resources. Seeking
candidates with knowledge of career services, campus marketing, outreach
strategies, and experience working with diverse student populations. Skilled
in computer applications. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as
part of team essential.

This position requires experience working with college students, coupled
with facilitative and interpersonal skills in dealing with a diverse
audience of students, faculty, alumni, and employers. Good presentations
skills are essential to effectively conduct outreach and courses.

*Salary: *$40,800.00 annually; commensurate  **
