Another job posting...

Dear Colleagues,
Below is an announcement regarding employment opportunities in Residence Life at
Virginia Tech. Please consider sharing this with your contacts.
Best regards,
James Penven
Associate Director of Residence Life

Residence Life at Virginia Tech is preparing to make significant strides in the
role we play in the academic success and personal connection of students who
live in our residence halls to the greater university community. Our
professional staff will foster an atmosphere of holistic and integrated
learning, and strive to create an environment where each student is encouraged
to recognize and utilize the connections they have to fellow Hokies; faculty and
students alike.

In order for Residence Life to accomplish these central goals, we seek talented
and energetic staff members who aspire to engage as a participant and mentor to
each student's residential and learning experience. Successful candidates will
have the knowledge and skills to connect with students where they are, and
discover with students where they want to be; exploring how they identify with
and successfully participate in an inclusive community of learners. Not a solo
venture, our live-in staff works alongside exceptional student leaders who
endeavor to create relationships that support and encourage residents to
accomplish their goals.

The Virginia Tech community is widely regarded as a cohesive and supportive
environment to learn, to work and to grow. Are you ready to be a Hokie?
