NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP) Internship and 2011 Summer
Leadership Institute Host Application

Continue the legacy and help shape the future of student affairs...
*"Texas A&M offered to host under the premise of giving back to the
profession. In fact, however, every staff member who came in contact with
the program got involved, inspired, and rejuvenated by doing so. Our staff
was talking for weeks, if not months, after about how moving the experience
was for THEM. The participants' sincerity, enthusiasm, and commitment was an
incredible reminder of why we are in this field, and the importance of our
work. By the end of the program, we felt privileged to have had the
opportunity to host!"*

The NASPA Undergraduate Fellows Program (NUFP) is a semi-structured
mentoring program for undergraduate students interested in learning more
about the fields of student affairs and higher education. NASPA needs YOUR
help in achieving NUFP's mission of increasing the number of historically
disenfranchised and underrepresented professionals in student affairs and/or
higher education, including but not limited to those of racial and
ethnic-minority background; those having a disability; and those identifying
as LGBTQ. Play an integral role in the success of NUFP by applying to host
the 2011 Summer Leadership Institute (SLI).

paper, the NUFP SLI is just a four-day workshop focused on skill building
and career development. As you can see from this
video<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0adpG733o4>produced by NUFP
alumni spanning three SLIs, participants experience so much
more.

*Are you (or do you know) a current fellow or alum who plans to enter
graduate school in 2010?*

*Apply <http://www.naspa.org/programs/nufp/Docs/ScholarshipApp09.doc> for
the Sodexo NUFP Scholarship to support graduate work!*

*Deadline:
January 5, 2010*

2010 Summer Internship 2011 Summer Leadership Institute

The NUFP Summer
Internship<http://www.naspa.org/programs/nufp/intern/default.cfm>gives
fellows an opportunity to gain more insight into the fields of higher
education and student affairs through a campus-based experience at a campus
other than their own. It is not required that campuses currently have a
fellow to host an intern.

Internships can last anywhere from six to eight weeks. It is required that
host institutions offer a stipend of $1,500 at minimum, as well as help
coordinate the intern's room and board. Please see the NUFP Internship web
page <http://www.naspa.org/programs/nufp/intern/default.cfm> for more
information, and to access the online
application<http://www.naspa.org/programs/nufp/intern/host/u/login/index.cfm>
.

work in student affairs/higher education, as well as training to develop
cultural competence and networking skills. Please see the NUFP SLI
website<http://www.naspa.org/programs/nufp/sli/default.cfm>for more
information on how to bring SLI to your campus, including an
