[Phiuregion1] Phi Upsilon Omicron -- Info from Region 1 Councilor

Greetings of the New Year!

I'm sending this information via our Region 1 listserv so that as many people as possible have the info...

It is hard to believe another year has begun. I hope everyone had a nice break and holiday season. Here are a few items for which I request your attention:


1.       Graduating Students. For students who graduated in December (and planning ahead to spring graduations) -- Graduates can update information by clicking on the Contact Us tab http://phiu.org/contact/ and it will email directly to Melissa Martin (National Executive Director). Graduates should indicate their graduated status in the "Your Message" box. Another method will be developed soon and loaded on the website. (stay tuned)



2.       Please remind your students that the deadline for Phi Upsilon Omicron Scholarships and Fellowships is February 1, 2019. Information found at http://phiu.org/scholarshipindex.htm



3.       Phi Upsilon Omicron's Birthday is February 10, 2019 and turn 110 years old. If I can be of any assistance please let me know. If you have any great projects or activities your chapter conducts during this time please let me know and send documentation. We are always wanted best practices to post on the Phi U Advisor Toolbox.



4.       Lastly, if you know of a program at a university in your area that does not have a Phi Upsilon Omicron program let me know and I would love to work with you to encourage them to be a part of this leadership opportunity for their students.
