Hello Club Athletes,

I hope you are having a great quarter thus far.

The purpose of this email is to let you know that the Club Sports Office is now accepting applications for the Club Sports Executive Council.

Below is the description of the Council in the Club Sports Manual, which can be found here: http://www.ohio.edu/recreation/club/forms.cfm

Additionally, applications are due to the Club Sports Office or emailed to jk341410 at ohio.edu<mailto:jk341410 at ohio.edu> by Friday April 29 at 4:00pm. No Exceptions.

After speaking to the current council, we wanted to make another list of reason why you should join.

*         Rep for the entire Club Sports Program

*         Voice in funding and disciplinary hearings

*         Looks great on a resume

*         Cool gear!

CLUB SPORTS EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
The purpose of the Club Sports Executive Council
is to act as a liaison between Club Sports members
and the Director of Intramural and Club Sports.
The primary function of the Committee is to advise
the Director of Intramural and Club Sports on the
following:

1.      Provide direction for the implementation of
new policies and regulations

2.      Provide a forum for clubs to discuss general
concerns with the Council and the Club
Sports Administration

3.      Make recommendations for Excellence
Funding and Development requests

4.      Conduct disciplinary hearings as needed

5.      Review membership applications for new
Club Sports teams / activities

6.      Accept responsibilities as assigned by the
Director of Club Sports

7.      Provide leadership, direction and guidance
for Club Sports membership

Any interested Club Sports student athlete or officer
who wishes to serve the program should follow the
following selection and representation procedure:

1.      Clubs that are interested in having a
representative on the CSE Council should
nominate a member and have that individual submit
an application to the Club Sports Office by deadline
(April 29, 4pm).

2.      The candidate will be given an opportunity to
address the Club Sport Presidents at the End
of the Year Business Meeting (May 11) to present
why they would like to represent them.

3.      The number of candidates will determine the
number of votes each organization will
receive and the number of candidates that
will be elected.
