[Ous-veterans] Some Important Information

Greetings to all Veteran Students!

I haven't E-mailed in a while and I wanted to update you on a couple of things.  I hope that everyone is doing well and had a good 4th of July.


1.       Sean Aldridge, the Manager of Bobcat Essentials Book Store asked that all veteran students who utilize a voucher to purchase their books, please get your book list to him as soon as possible. This is primarily the veterans utilizing Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation.  He wants to try and have your books ready before or as soon as Fall semester starts.

2.       As of July 1, 2017, I will no longer be the Veteran Liaison for Ohio University Southern students.  Teresa McKenzie, who is currently the Accessibility Coordinator for the Student Resource Commons and a veteran herself, will be picking up this responsibility.  Teresa's phone number is 740-547-3875 and her E-mail is mckenzt1 at ohio.edu<mailto:mckenzt1 at ohio.edu>, and her office is in second floor of the Student Resource Commons, Collins 214.

3.       That is another item - Enrollment and Student Services Office has combined with the Resource Commons and Library to be the Student Resource Commons. This change will hopefully give students much better access to the services available.

4.       I want all of the veteran students that I have worked with through the years and currently, to know that it has been an honor and pleasure to help you with your academic endeavors.  I have learned so much from every one of you.  I can't thank you enough for putting your lives on the line for me and all of us. I consider all of you friends and I want you to know that I will still be here to help if I am needed.
