As an administrator, barriers are certain to be put in my way. Some
barriers will naturally be more difficult to deal with than others.
However, dealing with each issue is of the utmost importance in order for
the school to run the best it can.

I am a very big goal oriented person, so when it comes to tasks being
accomplished I want to find the quickest and most effective way of doing
something. On the other hand, I also like to allow others to have a part in
accomplishing the goals and tasks as well. This can sometimes cause
conflict because as humans, we are all wired differently and want to take
different approaches to accomplishing a task and work on different time
frames. One way I believe I can address these issues is by making sure that
everyone has the same goal and ending accomplishment in mind, and also by
setting a time frame in which certain things should be completed.

After teaching in a school for three years, one common theme I see is the
importance of the relationships that you have with your principal and
colleagues. One barrier that I can see myself encountering when it comes
to my relationships with my teachers, is the need to try and please
everyone. Another barrier that I feel like I will encounter is having
difficulties of maintaining the professional relationship along with the
personal relationship. I feel like one way that I can account for these
possible barriers is by setting certain standards that I will do my best to
hold to in certain situations.

If there is one thing that I have realized since the time started in
education, dating all the way back to my undergrad is that education is
forever changing. The fact that schools are open systems and always having
to deal with external forces enhances the amount of change that schools can
see. One thing that I struggle with as an individual is staying on top of
things that may seems not as important to me as other things. This type of
character trait will cause the change barrier to be more difficult for me
to deal with because I could find myself getting overwhelmed very easily.
