[Ous-lp-rp13] Updated Expectations

Codie, Tony, Molly, and Jessica

Below are our revised expectations for the cohort. Our changes are listed
in red.


   1.

   Expectations which the students should have of themselves individually:


   1.

   Be attentive to improving upon writing, speaking, listening, and critical
   thinking skills.
   2.

   Be eager to learn and open to new ideas, including theories and
   effective practices, and reflect on individual growth.
   3.

   Be in attendance at class sessions and notify the instructor in advance
   if attendance is not possible.
   4.

   Be prepared for and participate in each class session.
   5.

   Be respectful of peers and the instructors.
   6.

   Be timely and thorough with the submission of assignments
   7.

   Collaborate/build relationships with fellow students
   8.

   Exhibit commitment, as you proceed through the program.



   1.

   Expectations which the students should have of Dr. Larson:


   1.

   Be fair and respectful of students and their ideas.
   2.

   Be open to students and be willing to meet with them on a one-on-one
   basis as needed.
   3.

   Exhibit an eagerness to assist the students through the program.
   4.

   Provide clear communications of course assignments and due dates.
   5.

   Provide the students with needed information and knowledge in order that
   they can prepare for administrative responsibilities.
   6.

   Provide timely, quality, and meaningful responses to the students and
   their work, including the use of an effective evaluation rubric.
   7.

   Provide the students with meaningful and applicable explanations of the
   knowledge being studied, including anecdotes from his career as an
   administrator and university professor.

   Expectations which Dr. Larson should have of the students:


   1.

   Strive to learn and apply the applicable knowledge regarding school
   administration, particularly the meaning of the intersections.

   Expectations that the cohort should have of itself as a group:


   1.

   Be open-minded and responsive to diversity within the cohort.
   2.

   Engage in the learning process in a meaningful and committed manner,
   using each of the members as a resource.
   3.

   Get to know each other, learn from each other, offering respect and help
   as needed for the cohort and its members.
   4.

   Pursue professional and personal growth as a group.
   5.

   Strive to be cooperative, not competitive.
   6.

   Strive to collaborate and build positive, professional, long-term
   relationship among its participants.
