<p><font face="Calibri" size="3">The Sr. Merchant is a management level position responsible for merchandising and buying of major category line or several smaller lines. </font></p>
<p><font face="Calibri" size="3"><u>RESPONSIBILITIES</u></font></p>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Develops an assortment plan, including price point and space allocation for a product. </font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Ensures the product development follows the plan and production calendar. </font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Collaborates with production on calendar and costing strategies. </font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Shops and conducts regular scans of benchmarking competitors to identify opportunities and challenges. </font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Participates in the patterning process. </font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Tracks competitive intelligence process and performs assessments of fashion trends. </font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Partner with other functions to manage inventory. </font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Tracks and reviews sales to provide analysis for increased sales opportunities, improve margins, manage inventories and decrease markdowns. </font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Develops and presents an overall line plan to cover financial goals.</font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Selects and trains merchandising team members.</font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Sets performance standards for direct reports.</font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Collaborates with design, production, marketing, planning, allocation, and visual.</font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Drives strategy and calendarization of merchandising features, trend stories, and promotional cadence.</font></div>
<p><font face="Calibri" size="3"><u>QUALIFICATIONS</u></font></p>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience</font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Minimum of 7-10 years merchandising experience in women’s apparel, jewelry, and/or eCommerce.</font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Product development/design experience in a vertical operation and a thorough understanding of design and manufacturing/production functions.</font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Strong presentation and communication skills.</font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Outstanding leadership skills and management skills essential to developing a superior merchandise team.</font></div>
<div><font face="Calibri" size="3">-Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)</font></div>
