Hello faculty Fellows of Entrepreneurship!

Hope your summer treated you well, and that the first 4 hours of the first day of the semester are all they could be and more.

I am writing you all to let you know of an opportunity that I would love for you to share with your students.

See below:

OHIO Makes<https://www.ohio.edu/colab/makes> will be holding an open house on September 4 at 6:00 p.m. at Athens MakerSpace, 751 W. Union St. (a free shuttle will run from the bottom of Baker Center). This new project is a partnership between the Ohio University CoLab, LIGHTS Regional Innovation Network, and ReUse Industries' Athens MakerSpace. It offers OHIO students full access to the Athens MakerSpace; trainings in trades such as sewing, woodworking, metalwork, 3-D printing, and more; funding; and mentoring from faculty and community experts.

There currently is a call for applications for students to receive a membership to the Athens MakerSpace-the first 10 accepted can win up to $250 in guaranteed project supplies!

I'm asking you all to please share messaging about this project with your students. We would like for OHIO Makes to have a wide reach across all disciplines! More information and the funding application can be found at https://www.ohio.edu/colab/makes. I'm planning to submit an article to Compass on Wednesday (August 28) as well.

Essentially CoLab though an Academic Innovation Accelerator mini grant has purchased 30 student memberships for the whole year and we would love for you to help raise awareness about it.
