[Ouretail] Study Abroad in Italy during Summer 2015

As many of you know, last summer, the OU RFPD program partnered with West Virginia University's retail program to participate in their study abroad program in Italy. We are very excited to have this opportunity again this year and WVU is now accepting applications for their Disegno Italia program for summer 2015!

Information on the Program
The dates for Disegno Italia are June 20th-July 17th, 2015

WVU is very excited to announce that they have been able to REDUCE program rates this year and can offer Disegno Italia for $5,990! This is a phenomenal price and is lower than they have been able to offer for several years AND it's during the Milan World's Expo!

The six-credit hour program runs for four weeks in the summer.  The first two-weeks are at il Sillabo in San Giovanni Valdarno, near Florence, Italy.  While in this charming medieval town, students study Italian art history and then see and experience the art and monuments for themselves in Florence, Rome, Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Fiesole, and other Italian cities.  Students also engage in a project that synthesizes their observations and experiences across these wonderfully varied Italian cities.  In addition students learn "survival" Italian with native Italian speakers.

The second two-weeks are at NABA in Milan, one of the premier design centers in the world.  Here, students will have the opportunity to select from a wide variety of courses that span the areas of fashion, graphics, digital and media design and art history and cultural offerings.

In addition to the selection of courses you may choose from at NABA, this summer in Milan offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity-the chance to attend a World's Fair!

Description of World's Fair
"This year Milano will host "Expo Milano 2015" the World Exhibition dedicated to the theme of "Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life", on the challenges our planet faces to feed its population in this new millennium.  For six months, from May to October, the Expo will host over 130 participant countries in a giant exhibition site, covering one million square meters, where a majestic temporary city will be built for the Expo. Moreover, the Expo will flow through the real city along its canals with events, exhibitions and performances that will enrich this unforgettable event."
