A new class is being offered in the School of Visual Communications for non-majors.  This course could be taken for a BCV elective for the retail major if it is of interest to you.  See the text from an e-mail below.

Dear students,

The School of Visual Communication is now offering one of its most popular classes, an Introduction to Basic Publication Design, for non-VisCom majors.



VICO 2514 Introduction to Basic Publication Design

The objective of this class is to learn to communicate clearly and effectively through visuals and words.  The class will serve as an introduction to basic design skills including design theory and principles (e.g. layout, typography, and color), and information architecture.  Students will become familiar with production techniques using industry specific software for both print and web.  Past projects have included resume design, posters, magazine layouts, etc.  This is a great class for students from any major who have an interest in design and want hands-on experience.



The fall semester section meets as follows:



-          MonWedFri

-          12:55 to 1:50 pm

-          VICO 2514 section# 100  course #6097



Students are encouraged to register by Aug. 7.
