This year, the Gladys W. and David H. Patton College is celebrating 125 years at Ohio Univesity.
There is a celebration event occuring September 9, 10, and 11 on campus.

One of the events is an exciting opporutnity to meet and HCSE alum:

Human and Consumer Sciences Education
Title: “Educator to Entrepreneur”
Speaker: Lori Pisching, owner of Loralie’s Baking Company
Lori Pisching graduated from Ohio University in 1977 with a degree in Home Economics Education. After graduation, Pisching served as the Naturalization Clerk for the U.S. District Court in Denver. Then, she moved back to Ohio in 1982 and was hired by Wendy's International as their Home Economist and then by Rax Restaurants as a Product Development Manager. In 1986, she resigned from Rax and started her own business, Loralie's Brownies, Inc. She catered on the PGA Golf Tour for eight years, and her company, Catering on the Green, was awarded the exclusive catering and concessions contract for all PGA events managed by PGA Championship Management. In 2008, the company launched an interactive website promoting the brownies and confections. Twenty six years later and Ms. Pisching is still baking!
