Hello OUCTMers!

I hope you all are having a wonderful spring break and like always I am here you to keep you up to date. You all know that a part of being in this organization is the free tutoring services that we offer to students in this area. Well you chance has come again to give back to the community and work with students who need a little help in math. Here is what I have:

1.) She is in 4th grade. She also has ADD. Just something to be aware of. One of the big issues we are facing is getting homework completed and she is struggling in math. Particularly multiplication, division, and they are now working on fractions. She asked for someone who is funny :). A good fit would be an upbeat and patient person. Please let me know if there is any other information you may need/want.?

2.) Meeting twice per week would be fine. My daughter plays softball, so she will have practice some evenings. Can meet anywhere for the sessions. She can bring Marley to campus or we can meet someplace like the Athens Public Library. This girl is 14 and in 8th grade. She is taking pre-algebra. Her biggest issue with math is a lack of confidence that she has the ability to think the problems through and get the right answer. She second-guesses herself, and is hard on herself when she makes a mistake, but overall she is a witty kid with a great sense of humor.

** Remember that as an organization we are here to learn about math, share our love of it, and help others in the area at which we excel. Email me back asap if you can help or work around these needs. I hope you all think about this expecially if you have not yet been matched up with someone to tutor!

Have a great Break!! I look forward to hearing from you!
