The Ridges – Boil Order Lifted


UPDATE: The boil order has been lifted.

The City of Athens has repaired a water main break at The Ridges. Effective immediately, all buildings on The Ridges are under a boil order until further notice.

Ice machines should be turned off, emptied and filters changed immediately following the conclusion of the boil order.

The water is safe for washing hands and use of restroom facilities.  If showering in a facility where the boil order is in effect, do not ingest the water.  Bottled water should be used for brushing of teeth.

Additionally, Facilities Management and Safety staff will post signage at main building entrances and at water sources to ensure occupants remain aware of the boil order.

The signage will be removed when the boil order is lifted.
