[Ohk12admins] Teacher Development Opportunities for this Summer

Greetings,

My name is Brett Noel. I am the Program Coordinator for the online Master’s of Education in Curriculum and Instruction at Ohio University’s Patton College of Education. I am writing to inform you of an opportunity for any of your teachers interested in Teacher Development training this summer.

Ohio University offers many courses for continuing education credit and several graduate endorsement, certificate, and degree programs that are fully online. For those just wanting a course or two, they need only to apply as a nondegree graduate student. For those interested in starting a graduate degree, they can choose from several programs.

My program is Curriculum & Instruction (program code ME6269) which can be completed in as little as 14 months or at a slower pace if so desired. We are a nationally accredited and recognized program – we were named Best for Working Teachers by Intelligent.com. All coursework is fully online and paired with research and related class assignments tailored for working teachers to do in their own PreK through 12th grade classrooms.

There is still time to enroll and get registered to begin in the first summer session that starts May 11th or for the second summer session which begins June 29th.  The deadline has been extended until March 31st to ensure educators will not miss this opportunity.

Some particularly interesting courses offered this summer for educators are listed below. Each is for 3 semester credit hours and is fully online:

  *   Teaching for Social Justice by Dr. Lisa Harrison (EDTE 6930 # 4958 sec 1002)
  *   Formative Instructional Practices by Dr. Kevin Daberkow (EDTE 6900 # 4955 sec 1003)
  *   Advance Differentiated/Instructional Adaptations by Dr. Danielle Feeney (EDSP 6720 # 4953 sec 1002)
If you have specific questions you would like addressed, The Patton College is participating in a virtual graduate school on Tuesday, April 21.
