This Graduate-Level Online Certificate Program is for You!

I know you have heard about the Education Public Policy Leadership Certificate (EPPLC), which is an online graduate-level certificate offered by The Patton College of Education and Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs at Ohio University. There is no GRE required and the application deadline for the next cohort, which begins in January 2020, has been extended to December 20, 2019.

Through a commitment to one year of online study (12 credit hours), EPPLC participants are equipped to become better advocates for future generations through training and experience in real-world education public policy theory and practice. And the year culminates with a networking residency in Washington, D.C., which happens during the second week of December. We are preparing to depart for this year’s residency and a sample from the exciting itinerary includes:

  *   Capitol Hill visits with the opportunity to observe hearings and other activities and meet with legislative staff from the participants’ districts
  *   a discussion and roundtable with congressional aides
  *   opportunities to gain insider perspectives on:
     *   lobbying in the education policy arena
     *   executive perspectives on education public policy
     *   state and local government perspectives on education public policy
     *   nonprofit, research, and philanthropic perspectives on education public policy
     *   relationships between the U.S. and international sector
