[OHIO Business Service Center Communication]

Hello,

I’m about to hire new student workers here in the Testing Center and wanted to ask a question. First, when the student needs to complete the I-9 form do I direct them to BSC to schedule appointment or do I ask them to contact HR first and they will direct the student to your site?  I’m a bit confused on how this works since in the past I would notify HR of who I wished to hire and they would take care of all necessary paperwork and email me with the students hire date.

The OHIO BSC Announces New Services!

The OHIO BSC is happy to announce two new services now being offered to our campus partners.  First, in conjunction with University Human Resources, we will assist in the completion of I-9s for domestic student employees and new faculty and staff.

  *   The OHIO Business Service Center is located on the first floor of Lindley Hall.

  *   Note: Foreign national students will need to have their I-9s completed by the Payroll Department at Grosvenor Hall.
 
Secondly, the OHIO BSC staff have developed a new travel folio to assist in your successful travel.  Approximately 5-7 business days prior to travel, the traveler will receive a travel folio from the OHIO BSC via email.  This travel folio will include all travel arrangements with confirmation numbers as well as travel tips<https://www.ohio.edu/finance-administration/business-service-center/travel-tips-0> and other needed documents (e.g., hotel charge pre-authorizations for travelers without PCards, tax exempt certificate, etc.).  The goal is to provide the traveler with all documents in one concise location to increase the ease of travel.
