The course is an introduction to insect biology, diversity and distribution in natural habitats. Students will become familiar with common insect families, field sampling methods, and procedures for identifying and preserving specimens.<span style="mso-spacerun:yes" class="ContentPasted0">
</span>Grades are based on field/lab reports, laboratory practicals and a final project (the student's insect collection).<o:p class="ContentPasted0">
