Hi Folks:

First, please join me on congratulating Belal Salem on being awarded the Reilly and Roosenburg graduate research Fellowship!  This award will allow Belal to travel to Egypt to quantify fossil data and we are excited to see the results of his efforts.  Just as a reminder to all of you students, the Reilly and Roosenburg graduate research fellowship supports an RA for an entire semester, allowing you to focus on off campus research in support of your MS or PhD degrees.  The deadline for applications are typically around February 1st, so please start planning on how you can take advantage of this tremendous opportunity next year.

No one has signed up for this week’s EcoLunch, so we are going to skip it.  If you are interested in presenting during an EcoLunch this semester, there are still positions opened.  Please see the schedule below and let me know if you would like to present during any of the open slots.
