Undergraduate Program Directory Launching – We Need Your Help!

The American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) is developing an “Undergraduate Program Directory” to provide information on undergraduate (baccalaureate) degree programs associated with the “people-centered sciences” in the following content areas:

  *   Culinary arts, hospitality, and tourism
  *   Education and training
  *   Food science and nutrition
  *   Health management and wellness
  *   Housing and interior design
  *   Human/Child development and family relations
  *   Personal and family finance
  *   Textiles, apparel, and retailing
The listing of content-related programs in the directory will be for informational purposes only and does not constitute or imply endorsement or recommendation by AAFCS. Each program listing will offer: (1) Institution Name; (2) Program or Major; (3) Degree Type; (4) Website; (5) Contact Information.

The directory will be a great resource to students are who exploring careers in the content areas and seeking institutions to begin their education on the career path.

XXIV International Federation for Home Economics World Congress

The world congress is coming to Atlanta on September 4-10, 2022.  A new website has been launched with updated information including the Tentative-Program-At-A-Glance, confirmed and invited speakers, and the 2022 Call for Abstracts.

Globally, citizens are confronting many issues that cut across the Congress Model and Matrix, including the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Black Lives Matter movement, broader economic and social justice issues, and more. Abstracts may address these issues and/or the broader work of Home Economics/Family and Consumer Sciences related to sustainability around the world.

Abstracts accepted for the 2020 Congress must be resubmitted for 2022; they may be the same, updated or new. New authors are also encouraged to participate. Submissions will be accepted from June 1-August 31, 2021.
