[Oafcs] LGBTQ Cultural Competency training

Good morning,

I’m reaching out to share about a professional development opportunity through Safe and Supported. Safe and Supported is a project of Lighthouse Youth and Family Services that is dedicated to ending LGBTQ youth homelessness. Part of the way we work toward this goal is offering our LGBTQ Cultural Competency training to youth-serving professionals. This training includes activities around clarifying professional and personal values, empathy-building, LGBTQ 101 information such as terminology, and site-specific case studies. Although the training focuses on LGBTQ youth, the information is also highly  relevant to working with LGBTQ adults.

We offer this training at our Cincinnati location on a monthly basis and our next date is Wednesday, February 13th, 2019. It costs $15 (plus a small administration fee) – breakfast, lunch, and 5.5 CEUs are included!
