Dear MWERA Affiliate,

We are thrilled to formally announce that the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Mid-Western Educational Research Association (MWERA) will be held October 28-30, 2026 at the Hyatt Regency in Milwaukee, Wisconsin!

We invite education researchers, including graduate student researchers, to join us in a friendly, collegial atmosphere at MWERA 2026. We will have an exciting program of research-methodology workshops, invited speakers, and peer-reviewed scholarly works presented in a variety of session formats (i.e., research-in-progress, poster, paper), as well as networking opportunities.

The theme of MWERA 2026 is “Transforming Education Systems: Research and Policy for Responsive and Sustainable Change.” All submissions are welcome and do not need to relate specifically to the theme.

The fully-renovated Hyatt Regency hotel and conference center in the heart of downtown Milwaukee features free Wi-Fi, proximity to a wide selection of dining options—including those in the 3rd St. Market Hall—and an adjacent parking garage. Both the hotel room rates and the conference registration fee for MWERA 2026 are highly affordable (with an early-bird discount on the latter!).
