Greetings MWERA Members and Friends:

By now you have probably heard from your division chairs, but I want to remind everyone that the All-Academic system should be up and running to accept proposals. If you aren't already considering a submission please do so! Also, let your colleagues and graduate students to do the same.

The annual meeting of MWERA is a great place to share your work, especially if you are a graduate student or early in your career. There is always an enthusiastic and supportive audience for your work and plenty of opportunity for informal follow-up conversations between sessions and at our social events. The collegial atmosphere and challenging conversations are also important in "recharging your batteries" if you've been in the field for a long time. Many of our members met fellow graduate students or researchers from other institutions here at the beginning of their careers and ended up writing together and even creating life-long relationships.

Your divisions are also in need of proposal reviewers. So when you sign into All-Academic, be sure to volunteer to review for one or more divisions.
