Well, 2020 has been - and continues to be - quite a year! With the inability to get together in person this October, we are, perhaps, left with a bit of time to reflect on what we do in our field and why we do it. In the hopes that 2021 brings a healthier planet, a renewed energy, and a desire to look forward with a fresh vision, it is always nice to take a few moments to see where we have been.

Whether you are a new MWERA member or have been around for a while, you will appreciate this gift from our historian, Gordon Brooks. Locations, members, fashion, and topics may have changed, but our important work of disseminating educational research, promoting a collegial research culture in the region, and providing a forum for mentoring the research skills of graduate students and junior faculty members holds true.
