<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Faculty who teach large enrollment classes are incredibly valuable to our Ohio University community. They are frequently the “face” of the department and the entryway to the
discipline. Studies have shown that students often change their major due to the impact of a single professor. As such, the influence of faculty members in these highly challenging courses is profound.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> </span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Office of Instructional Innovation is piloting a
</span><a href="https://www.ohio.edu/instructional-innovation/ctl/programs-and-events/large-enrollment-course.html"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">series of workshops</span></a><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">
designed to support the faculty teaching these large enrollment classes. Utilizing best practices in teaching and learning, we aim to build a supportive community that harnesses faculty’s existing expertise, and introduces ideas and resources to help enhance
student engagement and success. </span><o:p></o:p></p>
