Subject: SOEIT1_CIC: Annual Re-registration of Student Organizations

The Campus Involvement Center is pleased to announce the opening of re-registration for student organizations for 2011-2012. Organizations are required to re-register annually and should complete all steps in the registration process before the end of spring quarter. This year’s registration is less complicated but involves some very important changes. These are:

1. Training and workshops for presidents and treasurers will no longer be required. The Amanda J. Cunningham Leadership Center, in collaboration with the Campus Involvement Center, will make available high quality leadership programs specifically designed for members of student organizations interested in leadership opportunities. Attendance at these programs will be at the discretion of the student organization and/or its members. Promotional information regarding these programs will be sent out on a quarterly basis.

Training power points for presidents and treasurers will remain on Blackboard but testing will no longer be mandatory.

2. The online registration form will ask you to select one of the following preferences: re-register your organization, register a new organization, or make officer/advisor changes after the organization is registered for the coinciding year.

3. The online registration form will also ask you to select the tier that that best describes your organization. A full description of the tier system can be found at http://www.ohio.edu/campuslife/sorgs/starting/steps.cfm

THE FOLLOWING STEPS ARE MANDATORY TO RE-REGISTER/REGISTER A STUDENT ORGANIZATION

1. Submit the online registration form that is accessible at http://www.ohio.edu/involvement/studentorganizations/reregisterstudentorgs.cfm

2. Agreement of Terms and Conditions (hard copy)

a. The Agreement (attached) must be signed by the Advisor and President and returned to the Campus Involvement Center, 355 Baker University Center

3. Constitution and Bylaws (electronic)

a. An electronic version of your organization's constitution and bylaws must be emailed to the Campus Involvement Center at involvement at ohio.edu

b. It is recommended that the constitution and bylaws be posted on your organization’s blackboard site under the content or document area

4) Enroll/update members on Blackboard
