Dear Potential Volunteers, <br><br></div>April 10th, the Patton College of Education will be hosting the Playful Learning Summit - a one day conference on games and education. As part of the conference we will be hosting the Playful Learning Arcade where teachers can come to learn more about video games that can be used in their subject area.<br>
<br></div>To do this we are seeking volunteers. The arcade will feature games for math, science, history, social studies, language arts and after school clubs. For each of these areas we will be showing three to five games teachers can integrate into classroom practice.<br>
<br></div>The role of the volunteers will be to be familiarize themselves with these games and serve as advisers to talk with teachers about the games and how they can be used in the classroom. Think the Apple Genius Bar for teaching and gaming. Part of the duties of the volunteers will be to play these games ahead of the conference and then during their volunteer time slot be in the arcade to discuss them with teachers. <br>
