From strycker at ohio.edu Mon Apr 10 12:16:39 2017 From: strycker at ohio.edu (Strycker, Jesse) Date: Mon, 10 Apr 2017 16:16:39 +0000 Subject: [ITSA] Congratulations on an oustanding conference Message-ID: Greetings ITSA members, I wanted to take a moment to congratulate you on an excellent Ohio Educational Technology Conference! I only missed one session block (attending a session every other time), but still was able to look into rooms during that one time block I missed. Every session I attended or saw had good attendance, interested participants, engaged presenters, and some excellent exchanges in the form of questions, responses, and some full conversations about what had been presented. I only saw the technology showcase at the end of the day, but even then there were still interested attendees trying things out and asking questions about the wonderful options shared there. The nature of any conference makes it impossible to attend every session, but I would encourage you to look back at the program and consider the presenters you may have missed and reach out to them to find out about any topics that may have been of interest to you. You'll often find that presenters are more than happy to share their slides or copies of materials with you. Those that are local may even be happy to meet with you to talk and some may even be happy to collaborate in the future. If you presented, great job! If you didn't present this year, I hope you were inspired to propose a session for next year's conference. It takes a lot of time and effort to put on a conference of any kind and even more to put on one that features such nice signage, web presence, badges, facilitation, and refreshment options. I don't want to overlook anyone by accident, so I'm going to let either your president Tracy or the head conference planner Eddie identify everyone that played a role in the conference being such a success. If you see any of them on campus, in the building, or in class in the closing weeks of the semester, I hope you'll take a moment to acknowledge them and their efforts. Again, a great a job! More importantly, a school, program, colleagues, and conference that you can take great pride in! I'm already excited for the wonderful possibilities of the 2018 Ohio University Educational Technology Conference.
