Assistant Director for Multicultural Affairs<br>
<br>
The Assistant Director for Multicultural Affairs will assist the<br>
Director in developing, managing and ensuring the implementation of<br>
programming to promote the social, cultural, and educational<br>
development of students that increases the capacity for critical<br>
thought about the issues of pluralism in society and students' need to<br>
have cultural competency to be successful a global society. The<br>
Assistant Director will work collaboratively with University<br>
departments: administration, faculty, staff, students, alumni and the<br>
community to create a supportive environment for multicultural<br>
inclusiveness. In addition, this position will partner will campus<br>
academic and administrative departments to support diversity<br>
initiatives of the curriculum, and the out of classroom experiences<br>
related to diversity and multicultural perspectives (International<br>
Student Services, Language Institutes, etc.). The Assistant Director<br>
is also responsible for supervising two graduate assistants, several<br>
student staff members and assisting the director with compiling year<br>
end reports, assessment data and developing the operational budget for<br>
the department.<br>

Qualifications<br>
The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in higher<br>
education administration, international/global studies, cultural<br>
communication and conflict, counseling, or related field. The<br>
Assistant Director should possess 1-3 years of experience that<br>
includes supervision of paraprofessional staff; and a history of<br>
working in the field of diversity/multicultural affairs.<br>
Demonstrations of successful experience in conducting diversity<br>
training, workshops, and presentations is required. The successful<br>
candidate should have knowledge of current trends in Multicultural &<br>
Diversity and International awareness in Higher Education.<br>

Salary<br>
Salary range from $40,000-$45,000 depending on experience.<br>
