Research Associate

Friday Institute

North Carolina State University (North Carolina)

Open until filled

https://jobs.ncsu.edu/postings/83620
NOTE: The application deadline was April 6th, but they appear to still be accepting applications. This could be an interesting opportunity for the right program graduate.

Organization, Governmental, or Other Instructional Technology-related

Research Scientist

Digital Promise (California)

Open until filled

http://iste-jobs.careerwebsite.com/jobseeker/job/33898683/Research%20Scientist/Digital%20Promise/?str=1&max=25&vnet=0&long=1

NOTE: This is a 501c3 nonpartisan organization.

NOTE2: Based on how they list the degrees accepted you may need to explain our field a little bit, but based on what they're doing, an Instructional Technology doctoral graduate would able to do everything they're asking of a candidate.

Instructional Technologists, Trainers, or Related

Instructional Technologist

Upper Iowa University (Iowa)

Applications received by April 24th will receive full consideration.

Professional Learning Specialist in Science

WestEd (California)

Open until filled.

http://careers.wested.org/cs/jp/view/hr_pos/5208

NOTE: This position would be more Instructional Design than IT, but would still be a great fit for one of our grads. Please note that there are some K12 and adult education experience requirements.

Professional Development & Technical Assistance Specialist

WestEd (California or Arizona)

Open until filled.

http://careers.wested.org/cs/jp/view/hr_pos/5183

NOTE: This would be more Instructional Design and Professional Development heavy, but would still be a great fit for the right graduate of our program. Please note there are several rather specific requirements such as some special education experience.

Assessment and Academic Technology Specialist

Southern California University of Health Sciences (California)

Open until filled.

https://www.higheredjobs.com/faculty/details.cfm?JobCode=176467486&Title=Assessment%20and%20Academic%20Technology%20Specialist
NOTE: For some reason this position lists and hourly salary instead of a salary class. This may suggest that it isn't a full-time position, though some universities will list staff positions by hourly ranges.

Instructional Designer

Carillon Clinic (Virginia)

Open until filled.

http://aect-jobs.careerwebsite.com/jobseeker/job/34201041/Instructional%20Designer%20%28EMR%20Focus%29/Carilion%20Clinic/?str=1&max=25&vnet=0

NOTE: This is more of an industry job since it is outside of a college or university. The focus in on training development related to electronic medical records. Could be a great fit for one of our graduates focused more in the medicine or public health areas.

Technology Leadership

Assistant Director of Information Technology

Kishwaukee College (Illinois)

https://kishwaukeecollege-openhire.silkroad.com/epostings/index.cfm?fuseaction=app.dspjob&jobid=459&company_id=17021&version=1&jobBoardId=3341

NOTE: This is more of information technology job (i.e. some heavy technology requirements), but has a number of elements that are also instructional technology, so it could be a good option for the right graduate.

K12 Technology Leadership and Support

I don't tend to list out these kinds of jobs, but there no shortage of technology leadership positions in K12 schools across the country. These present a number of different interesting options for graduates, but may not be part of a career trajectory that you'd be interested in. If you're ever curious or interested, you can check a site like http://iste-jobs.careerwebsite.com/jobseeker/search/results/ to see some of the different K12 possibilities. Not all K12 schools will use this service, so sometimes you'll need to look at the human resources page for different K12 school districts you may be interested in.

Best,
