[Itech] Dissertation Hours and Advisees

Hello Graduates,

Due to my retirement and the fact that I do not have a contract with OU, I
can't be on the OU course site for hours/courses.

1)  If I am your dissertation chair then you will need to sign up for hours
with Dr. Moore.  I will continue with the dissertations that I am working
on with my graduate students. I do plan to finish with those of you that
have been working with me on your proposal or are now collecting data for a
dissertation defense. I do plan to come to campus in person for your
dissertation defense. (However, if you want a dissertation chair that is on
campus I understand and you can move to Dr. Moore.) I will be on campus
from time-to-time and will inform you when I am coming in case you want to
talk f2f.  You must be enrolled in 1 hour of graduate credit the semester
you plan to defend.  You do not need permission to enroll. I will continue
to talk to students on Skype or Hangouts as in the past.

2) My advisees have been moved to Dr. Moore.  I am happy to talk to you
about your courses but Dr. Moore will be your advisor and who you should
now go to for advising. (Again, no contract can't officially advise-- but
you know me, I will have an opinion.)

3) If I am on your committee but not the chair or on your program of study
-- it all stays the same!  No change, I will continue to work with you as I
have been in the past.
