Dear Dr. Franklin and Dr. Frost,

Terry Eiler has again asked me to make you aware that the School of Visual
Communication is offering a basic web design class for NON-VISCOM
majors.   This
class is being offered to meet the requests from other schools to assist
their majors with good web design skills and understanding.  Please
encourage your students to register for this class.


Class information:
*This introductory but fast-paced course begins with an overview of
computers and the internet, onto the software tools and best practices that
influence what can be viewed on the screen and how they affect our everyday
life.

This course enables students to better understand and build good computer
aided design, user interface and digital workflow at a basic level as we
produce, modify and combine images, text and information until they
comprise examples of good design.
Students can expect to become familiar with advanced aspects of design,
software applications, web development and other related tools which will
assist them in their personal and professional lives. *
