Hello Graduates,

It has been an interesting fall with the transition to semesters from
quarters. I hope that you each have time to get some rest, enjoy your
family and friends and return in January rested, creative and eager to
begin the Spring Semester.

Just a few details for everyone. OU reopens on Jan 14 so most faculty will
be off campus until then and will probably not reading email consistently
over that time--so response time will be delayed. Faculty typically travel
and work on their own research when there is a break from teaching. [Save
advising questions for Jan 14.] Marlene Swartz (740-593-4423) can be
reached to contact faculty if there is an emergency or urgent need.

If you plan to graduate on May 3rd, please apply for graduation by *Feb
15th -- online*. The sooner you apply the sooner it triggers the computer
to check your eligibility to graduate -- so that there are no surprises!
There is a $50.00 fee. CET graduates planning to share your portfolios for
the CET Master's Portfolio class must do so on* April 20th at 12:45pm.*

The Master's CET program will have its meetings during the Spring Quarter
on Friday (5:10 to 9:00 pm) and Saturday (8:30 am to 12:30 pm) on the
following weekends: Jan 18/19, Mar 15/16, and Apr 19/20. All classes are
held in 217 McCracken (Lab B).

The doctoral classes begin the week of Jan 14 and since classes fill up
quickly you should be registered by this time in the courses you need for
spring semester. Be sure if you are an international student that you are
back on campus by Monday, Jan 14, as faculty can drop any student from a
course if you do not attend the first class meeting.

Have a great Winter Break and I will see you all in 2013!
Dr. Franklin
