Dear Doctoral Graduate Students:

Welcome to the Instructional Technology Program at Ohio University. We are
delighted that you will be with us on the journey as a researcher and
intellectual in the field of instructional technology.

The following courses will be offered this fall for our PhD students. You
may register online in the course

EDCT 5012: Technology Applications in Education: Open Source Tools for

We also suggest that you examine the offerings in EDRE, EDCS and other
programs in the Patton College offerings to create a selection of courses
for your program of study. It is a good idea to meet with your advisor
during the first week of the semester to make sure that you have made
quality selections to complete your program in a timely manner.

If you do not have experience in Instructional Design, you may want to take
the following courses before taking the Advanced Instructional Design,
please read the information below and contact Jamie Smith. A limited
number of PID courses can be transferred into the PhD program. Advisor
permission must be obtained before enrolling in these completely online
courses. Each course in the PID is 3 credit hours.
