to hire new teachers at the semester break this year due to growth.  Any

Here is more information about the new hires:

ECOT to hire 40 teachers to start in January 2012
COLUMBUS (Ohio) – After adding more than 100 jobs at the beginning of the
school year, ECOT, Ohio’s largest online school, will add 40 additional
teaching jobs this month.

ECOT currently employs over 600 teachers from all over Ohio to work for the
fastest growing school in the state. The school grew by over 2000 students
last school year alone, which was the largest period of growth for ECOT
since opening doors in August of 2000.

ECOT now has more than 12,200 total enrolled students, which makes it the
largest K-12 online school in Ohio and the nation.

ECOT teachers and students work from their homes all across Ohio. ECOT
teachers enjoy the flexibility of working from home while still conducting
daily instruction and making a difference in their students’ lives.

ECOT’s headquarters on the south side of Columbus has grown with the
school. Since beginning in one suite in the old Southland Mall, the school
has grown to occupy nearly the entire mall and is one of the largest
employers on the south side with over 800 total employees.
