Hello Graduates,

I will use MovieMaker which comes on all PCs with the XP, Vista or Windows 7
operating systems, iMovie which comes on the Mac, Adobe Premier Elements
8.0 (PC only) and a screen capture software in the EDCT 602 class if you
wish to purchase the software early or ask for it for Christmas! [?]* *

There is a free (open source) screen capture (
http://wisdom-soft.com/products/screenhunter_free.htm) or you can use Snagit
or some other screen capture as needed. Be sure you have Audacity (
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/) and lame (
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?lame_enc) on your laptop.
PDF Creator is also a must and can be found online for free as well if you
do not have Adobe Acrobat Professional to create PDF files.
*
*I think Walmart, Sam's Club and Office Max have the Premier Elements 8.0
for $79.00 at this time. I am not requiring a text but if you do not have a
background in video, or if you have not worked with an Adobe video product,
I suggest one of the following:

Premiere Elements 8: The Missing
Manual<http://www.amazon.com/Premiere-Elements-8-Missing-Manual/dp/0596803362/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1260151042&sr=1-1>

Grover Chris(
Paperback - Nov 3, 2009)
Adobe Premiere Elements 8 Classroom in a
Book<http://www.amazon.com/Adobe-Premiere-Elements-Classroom-Book/dp/0321686381/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1260151042&sr=1-3>
by
Adobe Creative Team (Paperback - Dec 21, 2009)

There are tutorials online as well. Finally, I am still seeking a good open
source storyboard software. If you know of one, send it my way and I hope
to have one sent out to you by Jan 1, 2010.

See you in Jan!
