Subject: [Hlthpol] Nancy is Retiring

HI Fellows:  This Monday begins my last week as coordinator of the Health Policy Fellowship.

I think back over the dozens of cities I've explored, the hundreds of experts I've gotten to learn from, the 1,260 thank you letters written and snail-mailed, the 28,000 miles logged to the airport and back, and I know that old saying is true - when you do what you love, you never work a day in your life.

The very best part of this experience has been the chance to meet each of you, my peeps - 18 classes of Fellows.  190 dedicated, wicked smart, wonderful people who have expanded my world in ways few jobs ever could.

I am eternally grateful to Barbara Ross-Lee for trusting me with 'her baby', and to Norm Gevitz (my 'OU' boss) for his years of support, good humor and guidance.

Jerry Rodos, HP pioneer and devoted faculty, and Judith Edinger, who taught me what I needed to know to take over coordinating the HPF - thank you.  I miss you. Rest in peace.

Best wishes in the next phase of your life.  I am also retiring from AT Still University at the end of this month.  Doing some consulting work in addition to all of the projects here at Spirit Bear Ranch.
