EFL Associates is assisting Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences<http://www.kcumb.edu/> (located in Kansas City, Missouri) in its search for the next Executive Dean of the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Vice President for Health Affairs.

KEY INFORMATION:


·         Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences is a community of professionals committed to excellence in the education of highly qualified students in osteopathic medicine, the biosciences, bioethics and the health professions.

·         Reporting directly to the President, the Executive Dean for KCU-COM will oversee all academic, research and service activities and administration of the Kansas City campus and is academically and administratively responsible for both the Kansas City and Joplin Campuses.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


·         DO degree from a COCA accredited College of Osteopathic Medicine;

·         Completed residency training, AOA or ABMS board certification and the ability to maintain current medical licensure;

·         Minimum of 5 years' experience in an academic medical school setting where the focus is on educating osteopathic, allopathic or other health/science students;

·         Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to motivate and inspire leading to a culture of collaboration among and between staff, faculty and students;

·         Understanding of and commitment to KCU's mission, vision and values; and

·         Demonstrated success in holding one's self and others accountable for achieving goals, solving problems and making decisions.
