research and education program centers on the primary ecological challenges facing
<b><i>Terrestrial Systems </i></b>and <b><i>Aquatic Systems </i></b>within Lake Erie’s watersheds and at the sensitive land-water interface. In particular, our cross-disciplinary REU team will focus on understanding how use of terrestrial and aquatic resources
by humans affects the ecological functioning of natural communities, and in turn how altered ecosystem functioning and services impacts human health.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
