and civic experiences will add an important perspective to understanding the value of geography as a school subject, academic discipline, and career field. You will aid AAG’s efforts to communicate the vital contributions of geographers to economic development,
environmental protection, and societal well-being. The results of this study will inform future development of K-12 geography curriculum standards. AAG will also produce a variety of outreach resources for undergraduate and graduate student recruitment, advising,
