<span class="x_caps"><span class="" style="font-size:12pt; font-family:CartoGothicProBook">The Voinovich School Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Team is seeking candidates for a GIS scholar position for the next academic year. This position will provide
you with real world experience as a GIS Technician working on a variety of projects for local city/county governments in and around Athens and Southeast Ohio. There will also be opportunities for the scholar selected to work on personally developed projects
that fit within the interests of the individual. For example, this year, our GIS Voinovich Scholar, Ethan Sleeman, conducted a survey of bicycle rack use on campus, and produced an analysis that resulted in recommendations to the University on where there
are needs for more bicycle parking.<span class="x_Apple-converted-space"> </span></span></span></div>
