The Union County Engineer is NOW HIRING a full-time Mapping Assistant. The selected individual will perform various clerical duties related to the administration of the Union County Engineer's Department; maintain Tax Map Office records and maps; review deeds; issue permits for driveways and addresses; assist with map creation and analysis for various departmental purposes; assist the public with tax map research; and perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications: Completion of secondary education and an associate degree in any related field and three (3) years of experience or equivalent; experience in mapping, deeds, titles or surveying; experience utilizing GIS; demonstrable skill in data entry, word processing and telephone etiquette; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. The selected candidate must be capable of passing a comprehensive pre-employment background investigation, including a drug screen and criminal records check.
