[Geog_Jobs] FW: Division of Forestry; student opportunities to mark state boundary lines

Student Employment Opportunity Over Winter Break and on Weekends (until the trees leaf out in the spring)

In the recent years the Division of Forestry has been hiring students temporarily to help mark property lines on state forests.  The lines have already been established, they will be taking points with Avenza and repainting the markings.
Students working with this project will be trained on the mapping program and painting methods.  State vehicles will be provided from the Athens District Office.

Depending on how quickly the boundary line painting goes we may also have them paint horse, hiking and ATV trails.  Additional opportunities may come up as well depending on what projects are going on.  As these chances come up we will work with the students so they are prepared and able to assist.

The temporary position would be Natural Resources Technician and starts at $16.72 an hour.
Students will work in teams of two.
Hours are flexible.
Up to 1000 hours worked per year (July 1 to June 30).
