[Geog_Jobs] FW: Forestry Outreach Internship Opportunity in Jackson Ohio to support Interagency Efforts

Dr. Dave Apsley of OSU will be hosting a summer intern to assist with our collaborative communications and outreach efforts focused on oak restoration in Appalachia Ohio.   This includes our A DAY in the WOODS programming based at the Vinton Furnace State Forest.

He is not sure about hourly rate, but it was $11 per hour last year.

This will be a great opportunity to work with partners from ODNR (Forestry and Wildlife), USFS, NRCS, Central State University and local SWCDs on this effort. The position will be based here in Jackson, but we may have some flexibility.

Attached is the work plan that we put together to get our hat in the ring for the position.  Also, below is a link to with information about the internship from last year. It looks like applicants would need to have completed 2 years of college. The 2019 OSU Extension Internship Program will run this summer from June 3-August 9, 2019. The student internship application will be open February 11-March 3.
