The National Park Service is seeking to fill an AmeriCorps intern position in Rock Creek Park for an Outreach Coordinator. This person would be based in Washington D.C. They had hoped to conclude the search on May 11th, but are still looking for the right person. Perhaps it’s you!

The AmeriCorps member will be working in Rock Creek Park's Division of Interpretation, Education, & Outreach. The member will work closely with the public, by representing the National Park Service at community activities/events, co-leading efforts to demo/further develop a BARK Ranger program, and developing/posting info on the park's Facebook page--including helping to manage the first-ever park photo contest on Facebook.

The position is relevant to students with a bachelor’s degree in related field such as environmental studies, community/regional planning, recreation management, natural resource management, historic preservation, geography, or landscape architecture.
