GIS Analyst

Salary:  $54,371.20 - $63,918.40
Hourly Rate:  $26.14 - $30.73

Cleveland, Ohio 44115

Reports to: GIS Applications Administrator
Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Monday - Friday

This position is subject to civil service examination. Exam information will be sent to qualified applicants at a later date. All

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field and three (3) years of GIS analysis,
development, or computer programming experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Esri's ArcGIS suite of products including ArcGIS Desktop, Pro, Online, Portal,
Enterprise, Web AppBuilder, Microsoft SQL data management skills. Python scripting. Experience with land records ,
mass appraisal and assessment,  infrastructure, transportation and NextGen 911 emergency management GIS workflows .
Experience in cross-sector GIS coordination and service deployment. Experience in public speaking and education on
various topics related to GIS.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Administers GIS database; deploys and administers map viewers; administers GIS server software ;
administers GIS middleware; administers GIS licensing software. Designs, refines, and updates GIS data and metadata;
designs, maintains and publishes geo-processing tools as GIS services; designs and maintains complex spatial data
models; performs mid-level data analysis and database querying. Develops requirements and high level architectural
specifications for the GIS infrastructure. Designs, develops, deploys and tests GIS web mapping applications and web
services in the .NET environment using ArcGIS, other GIS software as needed. Provides other software assistance ;
coordinates public and County GIS data sharing and exchange; designs and develops reports; designs and maintains
desktop databases for reports and maps; provides training.
