In this season of giving and sharing, I recommend a unique way to help people by creating maps for them!
Please visit the "Missing Maps Project" website (http://www.msf.org.uk/missing-maps-project)   and consider becoming a "Volunteer Mapper" by donating some time to digitize and help map the most remote and crisis prone places of the world.

The Missing Maps Project is an open, collaborative initiative founded by Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF), the British Red Cross<http://www.redcross.org.uk/>, the American Red Cross<http://www.redcross.org/> and the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT)<http://hot.openstreetmap.org/>.
