UNIVERSITY OF NORTH DAKOTA, Department of Geography and Geographic Information Science, Instructor in Geospatial Technologies #16772
Position: The Department of Geography & Geographic Information Science (GISc) in the College of Arts & Sciences invites applications for a full-time, benefited Instructor (non-tenure-track) for the 2016-2017 academic year. We seek a teaching-oriented instructor who can add to the GISc capabilities of the department. The successful candidate will teach eight courses per year, generally in GISc, geospatial technologies, and physical geography. The opportunity may be available to teach some of these courses online. Qualified Applicants must have at least a master's degree in geography or a closely related field with coursework in GIS, and one year of experience teaching undergraduate geography courses. The preferred candidate will have a Ph.D. in geography or a closely related field, with experience teaching GIS and other geospatial courses using both online and traditional classroom methods.
Salary: $45,000-$50,000. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Appointment: Appointment is August 16, 2016 to May 15, 2017.
